Working with a floral designer: dos and don’ts

Do

Tell your designer the occasion, the mood and who the flowers are for.
Share a colour scheme or a few photos you love.
Mention the space: a reception desk, a dining table and a hospital bedside all need different sizes.
Let them suggest seasonal flowers; they’ll look and last better.

Don’t

Leave your designer guessing on colours or budget.
Mix two very different moods in one design; a celebration and a sympathy piece need different approaches.
